PANAJI Internationally spread training centre, Achievers Aviation Academy has opened up its base in Goa with the aim to provide skilled training in the field of aviation, hospitality and corporate training.

As a pioneer attempt in the state of Goa, the academy has collaborated with the Australian national airlines college for facilitating pilot training in , Mr Rajat Kumar, centre manager, Achievers Aviation Academy, told reporters.

The academy has opened its branch in Margao. Mr Craig Mc Kenzie from the Australian national airlines college has visited the academy recently to broaden horizons of the ambitious lot desirous of pursuing the commercial pilot training course.

Mr Kumar said that the academy has demonstrated its potential to attain hallmark dimensions in the fields of aviation, hospitality and corporate training through its state of the art, contemporary facilities at Goa, Rajasthan and New Delhi.

We have produced in large numbers able minded cabinet crew, airport staff, deck cadets and hospitality personnel that have carved a niche in the international job markets, Mr Kumar said.

He stated that its attempt to deliver to the ambitious youths a focus and direction and hence achieve benchmark standards in the hospitality industry.

The academy officials stated that a commercial pilot training programme launched would enable students to pursue their ground training in Goa and then head on to Australia to fulfill the flying requirements.

The course is strictly on the guidelines of the international civil aviation organization, federal aviation agency and director general civil aviation, thus giving it the prominent stature of an international credential, he said.

With the boom in the worldwide airline industry, the demand for pilots has never been stronger. Mr Kumar said that the academy helps aspiring youth to make this adventurous career which will give them a great stature in the social life too.

He said that the training will take you closer to the job placement as current forecasts are that the number of airliners in the world will double by 2020 and that over next 15 years, the world will need at least an additional 18,000 newly trained pilots every year.

Test Systems Will Reduce Costs, Enhance Quality and Improve Time to Market; Concurrent Will Demonstrate Benefits and Technology at The ILA Berlin Air Show, May 27-June 1 2008

Concurrent (NASDAQ:CCUR), a worldwide provider of integrated Linux solutions, and The FTI Group today announced the successful delivery of a system for the German Airbus project that will result in improved quality and reduced costs while enabling a faster time to market. The system will be used for the Airbus A320 High Lift System (HLSS), responsible for controlling the aircraft’s trailing-edge flaps.

“The A320 HLSS test stand is one of the most advanced test systems deployed today,” said Jochen Venrath, Head Design and Verification, The FTI Group. “Engineered to gather and store thousands of I/O points, the seamless integration with The MathWorks(R) Simulink(R) for rapid model-based simulation and Concurrent’s SIMulation Workbench(TM) and real-time scheduler enabled our team to deliver a seamless hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system that is easy to use and reconfigurable for multiple tests.”

The HIL system will be used to test the aircraft’s high-lift control computers, which are responsible for controlling the trailing-edge flaps that generate higher lift during take-off and landing. Hosted on Concurrent’s iHawk(TM) real-time computer systems powered by RedHawk(TM) real-time Linux, SIMulation Workbench provides a complete framework to develop and execute real-time hardware-in-the-loop and man-in-the-loop simulations.

“Reduced costs, greater accuracy, improved time to market for big projects and practical, business-oriented thinking - these are some of the reasons organizations come to us,” said Dan Mondor, Concurrent president and CEO. “FTI and Concurrent are working together to offer our customers innovative real-time technology that fits their timelines and budgets.”

The Concurrent and FTI Group partnership originated in 2007 with delivery of a HIL test stand for the Airbus 400M HLSS project. This delivery marks the continued success of SIMulation Workbench.

Technical experts from Concurrent are available to demonstrate solutions and discuss projects at the ILA Berlin Air Show (Hall 6/6230), one of the world’s largest aerospace trade shows being held May 27- June 1, 2008 in Berlin, Germany.

The following press release from Anark Corporation outlines the introduction of the latest release of their 3D CAD transformation platform. PTC/User World has traditionally been an excellent venue for new CAD product introductions. I will look forward to learning about first impressions from my industry contacts in attendance.

Boulder, CO. May 28, 2008: Anark Corporation, leading provider of automated 3D CAD transformation and visualization solutions, today announced it will exhibit at the annual PTC/User World, taking place in Long Beach, California. The company will demonstrate its easy-to-use, automated 3D CAD preparation and transformation platform, Anark Core.

The revolutionary Anark Core Platform dramatically reduces repetitive CAD file conversion and preparation tasks by providing automated tools that enable efficient and secure interoperability between producers and consumers of CAD data for OEM-Supplier data exchange, technical illustrations, and visual simulations.

At the event, Anark will demonstrate the current platform, Anark Core version 1.1. This version provides users with automated design-feature removal capabilities (parts, holes, filets), then exports high-precision BREP and lightweight mesh file formats including CATIA V4/V5, Parasolid, STEP, NX (formerly Unigraphics), IGES, Collada, DWF, X3D, and VRML.

“With Anark Core, we’re providing manufacturing companies with the power to easily and cost-effectively transform and share relevant product data internally and throughout the OEM supply chain - a repetitive task that can take hours of engineers’ time every day,” commented Stephen Collins, President and CEO of Anark Corporation. “We are particularly excited to demonstrate its capabilities to show attendees, as it is a powerful complement to many of PTC’s leading products and solutions.”

The Anark Core Platform will be on display at the annual PTC/User event at the Long Beach Convention Center, booth 419, on June 1-4, 2008. To schedule a demonstration prior to the show please contact Anark directly at solutions@anark.com.
