Great Britain Aviation Anniversary

Biplane75 years ago today, the Duke of Sutherland officially opens Great Britain’s northernmost airport at Inverness, Scotland. For many weeks, however, the facility has been used by Highland Airways for a regular daily service between Inverness, Kirwell (capital of the Orkney Islands), and other points.
